Plyxim is proud to announce Exibia 2, a brand new version of our video broadcast scheduling application for Mac OS X. Exibia allows clients in a multi-user, multi-platform environment to upload and schedule still images and QuickTime-compatible videos to a centrally located server.

The Exibia Server, a Macintosh connected to a cable television (CATV) system for broadcast, a stand-alone flat panel display or television, or a digital billboard, handles the hosting, scheduling and playback of video content. Users of any platform can easily upload and schedule videos for playback using their web browser, including iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.

New Features in Exibia 2.2:
  • Introduces Schedule Blocks, which are saved schedules between one and seven days in length that will repeat once the end of the block is reached
  • Adds the ability for an administrator to create and save individual days that can be easily scheduled
  • Adds the ability to overlay a watermark image (128x128) over slides and scheduled content
New Features in Exibia 2.1:
  • Adds the ability for the Exibia Administrator to copy the schedule of a specific day to other days
  • Adds the ability for the Exibia Administrator to remove an entire day of scheduled videos from the schedule at once
  • Adds the ability for the Exibia Administrator to delete multiple videos from the Schedule Videos page or the Validate Uploaded Videos page
  • Adds Javascript to select and deselect all checkboxes when selecting multiple videos to upload (Bulk Import and Add External Storage Location) and to delete (Schedule Video and Validate Uploaded Videos)
  • Adds the ability to reset the Exibia Schedule (i.e., to remove all scheduled entries at once)
  • Adds the ability for the Exibia Administrator to check to see if updates to Exibia are available

  • A "Default Playlist" of still images or videos that will loop continuously when there is no scheduled content

System Requirements: Exibia is a Universal application that will run on any Macintosh computer capable of running Mac OS X 10.4.2 or greater with an available video output. A Macintosh with an Intel processor running 10.6.3 or greater is recommended. A large hard drive is recommended for video storage. Many users run Exibia on an iMac or Mac mini.

Pricing and Availability: $499 USD per Exibia 2 license. One license allows Exibia to run on a single Macintosh computer with unlimited Exibia Web Administration and Web Client use. Exibia v2 is available for download today.

A time-limited, fully-functional demo is available for download from our website.

NOTE: Upgrading to Exibia 2 from an existing Exibia 1.x installation will require an Exibia 2 license code to be fully functional. If no license code is entered, Exibia 2 will only run in demo mode. Registered owners of Exibia 1.x can request an Exibia 2 license code.
